ACCREDITATION
Batangas State University (BatStateU), the Philippines’ National Engineering University, proudly announces that eight of its engineering programs have received top re-accreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). This prestigious accreditation, recognized globally, was posted on the ABET website on October 1, 2023. The quality of BatStateU’s engineering programs was confirmed during a thorough evaluation by ABET experts who visited the university from November 13 to 15, 2022. The accredited programs include Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, and Sanitary Engineering. BatStateU is the largest engineering university in the country, having produced over 180 top graduates and offering 46 engineering degree programs, the most of any institution in the Philippines. The university also provides 27 new programs in engineering and related fields, showcasing its commitment to educational excellence. It is notably the first state university in the Philippines with ABET-accredited engineering programs. “ABET accreditation shows that BatStateU is dedicated to offering top-notch engineering education like leading universities worldwide. It ensures our graduates are ready to succeed in important technical areas and lead innovation in today’s global economy,” said University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo. ABET’s rigorous peer-review process is respected worldwide for improving the quality of technical education, focusing on program content, faculty qualifications, facilities, and institutional support.
