About Mechanical Engineering Department

​In 1903, Batangas State University was established as a Manual Training School, overseen by Mr. Scheer, an American administrator. In 1905, the institution was renamed Batangas Trade institution, and in 1953, Pablo Borbon Memorial Trade School was established by Republic Act 746. In 1957, the institution changed its name to the Pablo Borbon Regional School of Arts and Trade and began providing technical education. The regional school was turned into a state college by virtue of RA 5270 designated as Pablo Borbon Memorial Institute of Technology in 1968. At the time of conversion, it was the 23rd state college in the nation.

 

According to Board Res, the university's first engineering program offered in AY 1971–1972 was the mechanical engineering program. In addition to BS Electrical Engineering, No.109, S.2008, D1. The Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Accrediting Agencies (AACCUP) granted the BSME Program Level IV Phase 2 Re Accredited Status.
